Re-enactment Garments for Women
Items currently for sale
Items made by us for previous clients
Ask any group of re-enactors about costume and you will
often get the same answers; it has got to be authentic, comfortable
to wear, and look good.
Here at Guinevere's Dream we couldn't agree more. We will
spend hours searching through contemporary images of the time to
make sure that the garments that we produce for re-enactors are as
authentic as possible. We like to be able to find at least 3
examples of a garment style before we will say that it is authentic.
We would ask our clients to consider this ethos when asking us to
make them a garment from any historic period; if you can find 3
historic sources of information about a garment then we will gladly
call it authentic.
But don't worry if you can't, not all of our re-enactment clients
are performing in "Living History" events, many are interested in
"Historic Entertainment" where the rules on authenticity are less
strict.
With regard to being comfortable to wear, well any garment that
has been made to measure should fit well. As for looking good,
well we think that everything we make looks good, and our clients
agree.
Below we have a selection of garments that are currently for sale
and examples of garments we have made for re-enactors in the past.
